NAPO VICTORY! 9/11 HEALTH AND COMPENSATION ACT: PASSED IN THE HOUSE

Dear Members,

NAPO has secured a victory in the House of Representatives by the passage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act (H.R. 847) NAPO will continue to work hard to see that this legislation gets the support it needs to become public law.

9/11 HEALTH AND COMPENSATION ACT: PASSED IN THE HOUSE

With the help of NAPO’s dedicated efforts the House of Representatives passed legislation on Wednesday September 29, 2010, in support of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act (H.R. 847). NAPO last reported that we took swift action after a failed vote this past July in requesting the Speaker of the House and the Minority leader reconsider passing H.R. 847. The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act passed in a vote of 268 support to 160 opposed. H.R. 847 will now be sent over to the Senate where this legislation faces an uphill battle.
