NAPO was successful in preventing actions that would have eliminate funding to the COPS Hiring Program and we were equally successful in minimize reductions to other DOJ programs. 

Attached is a letter and application tips from the Director of the COPS Office, Bernard Melekian.  It is important to carefully read this information as applications for COPS Hiring grants have changed.

Solicitations for applications for funding,  importantly COPS Hiring funding begins a week from today, Monday May 2nd. The deadline to get in applications is May 25th. This is a very short window so please get started early.
